The Knicks reportedly told free agents they're in the market for a younger big man. As of now, James Wiseman is the only one who might fit the bill.

Dan Favale of Daily Knicks argues that James Wiseman's primary advantage in competing for a New York Knicks standard contract is his youth rather than his past connection to head coach Mike Brown. The Knicks reportedly sought a younger big man in free agency, giving the 25-year-old an edge over fellow training camp competitors Drew Eubanks and Tony Bradley.
Favale contends that while Eubanks and Bradley offer veteran stability, the Knicks should use their 14th roster spot on Wiseman's untapped developmental upside. Although Wiseman carries risks following a past Achilles injury, the writer believes taking a flier on his ceiling fits the team's depth chart needs behind Andre Drummond.
