The Knicks reportedly told free agents they're in the market for a younger center, which means they haven't yet acquired who they want.

Writer Dan Favale of Daily Knicks argues that the New York Knicks consider their training camp centers only temporary depth options. While James Wiseman, Tony Bradley, or Drew Eubanks will likely serve as the third center behind Karl-Anthony Towns and Andre Drummond, none fit the team's long-term vision. Favale notes that New York reportedly communicated interest in finding a center on the younger side.
According to the analysis, Eubanks and Bradley are older, while Wiseman's career has been hindered by major knee and Achilles injuries. Favale contends that New York's previous interest in younger big men like Moussa Diabate and Yves Missi indicates the franchise will eventually seek a long-term upgrade, most likely through a trade.
