Knicks raise NBA championship banner, unveil rings fit for New York

The defending champion New York Knicks received their championship rings and raised their NBA championship banner on Opening Night at Madison Square Garden. Franchise legend Walt Frazier presented the rings to the team ahead of their matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers. Finals MVP Jalen Brunson addressed the home crowd, thanking fans before the franchise raised its first title banner since 1973.

Designed by Jason of Beverly Hills, the championship rings feature 22 karats of diamonds, blue sapphires, and a twist-off top revealing a replica of Madison Square Garden. The Knicks, coached by Mike Brown, defeated Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs in five games to secure the title. The franchise also hung a banner commemorating their December NBA Cup victory.
