The OKC Thunder have added more defensive talent to their roster. Hopefully, it can help Ajay Mitchell preserve his energy for the offensive end.

Mark Nilon argues that recent Oklahoma City Thunder roster additions will allow Ajay Mitchell to preserve his energy on defense and maintain his offensive production. With key players Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren sidelined, Mitchell has stepped up as the team's primary secondary scoring option behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, averaging a career-high 17.0 points per game.
To ease the defensive burden on Mitchell and Gilgeous-Alexander, Oklahoma City signed athletic perimeter defenders Micah Peavy and Dalen Terry. Nilon writes that these additions, along with the expected return of Alex Caruso, provide vital defensive reinforcements while the Thunder offense seeks greater efficiency amidst an ongoing wave of injuries.
