The Oklahoma City Thunder have signed guard Cason Wallace to a five-year, $139 million contract extension, according to ESPN's Shams Charania. The rookie-scale extension begins in the 2027-28 NBA season, preventing the 22-year-old from entering restricted free agency.
Wallace is slated to become a full-time starter entering the final year of his rookie contract after the Thunder parted ways with Lu Dort. Last season, Wallace earned All-Defensive second-team honors, led the league with 150 steals, and started a career-high 58 games.
