Jase Richardson was thrown into the startling lineup thanks to early-season injuries. But the Orlando Magic have faith in the second-year guard.

Orlando Magic guard Jase Richardson is adjusting to an expanded role after head coach Sean Sweeney moved him into the starting lineup following Paolo Banchero's injury. The second-year guard made his first career NBA start against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden. Despite an initial adjustment period, Richardson stated that he is gaining confidence with consistent rotation minutes.
Richardson has received praise from teammates Desmond Bane and Wendell Carter for his high basketball IQ and work ethic. Although Orlando holds a -10.1 net rating with Richardson on the court, Sweeney commended the young guard's defensive effort and energetic play.
