The Philadelphia 76ers have downgraded Joel Embiid's status to probable for Sunday's matchup against the Chicago Bulls. The star center continues to manage plantar fasciitis, though he has avoided any new setbacks and remains likely to play. Embiid previously missed two games this season during a back-to-back set.
While managing his injury, Embiid has struggled offensively through his first eight appearances of the season. He is shooting 38.1% from the field and averaging a career-low 17.9 points per game. However, he recorded 15 points in Philadelphia's 126-107 victory over the Bulls earlier in the week.
