The 76ers do not have a firm role for rookie guard Labaron Philon Jr. just yet, which is contrary to what most people expected out of the gates.

The Sixer Sense argues that rookie guard Labaron Philon Jr. may not yet be considered ready for a firm role by the Philadelphia 76ers. Despite initial expectations that Philon would provide bench scoring, head coach Nick Nurse has utilized a strict nine-man rotation during Philadelphia's 3-1 start, limiting the rookie to under four minutes across the first three games.
Philon played 13 minutes against Detroit only after starting guard VJ Edgecombe was scratched due to injury. Writer Nicolas Kyle Pring suggests the team prioritizes defense, efficiency, and playmaking over raw scoring, leaving Philon with work to do to earn consistent playing time over the course of the season.
