Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse snubbed Mike Brown after LeBron James’ signing. The Philadelphia 76ers adding LeBron James to their roster has shaken things up before the 2026-27 NBA season.
Philadelphia 76ers head coach Nick Nurse revealed he contacted several of LeBron James' former coaches after the star signed with the team, but intentionally excluded Mike Brown. Nurse opted not to contact the New York Knicks head coach following Philadelphia's sweep against New York in the 2026 Eastern Conference Semifinals, according to reporter Kristian Winfield.
Despite omitting Brown's advice, the 76ers defeated the Knicks 106-100 in their 2026-27 season opener. James contributed 14 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists across 34 minutes in his Philadelphia debut.
