The Story in 60 Seconds

Philadelphia 76ers forward Dominick Barlow will be sidelined for at least two weeks due to a lumbar spine bone stress response, the team announced on Monday. The 23-year-old power forward will be reevaluated after two weeks and is scheduled to miss at least the first seven games of the 2026/27 regular season.

Barlow, who did not play during the preseason due to the back issue, emerged as a key rotation player under head coach Nick Nurse last season. His absence further depletes Philadelphia's frontcourt, which also lost free agent center Ariel Hukporti to a torn Achilles tendon during the preseason.
