The Suns have exercised their fourth-year option on Ryan Dunn and their third-year option on Khaman Maluach, the team announced today (Twitter links). Both players were already set to earn guaranteed salaries this season.
The Phoenix Suns have officially exercised their 2027/28 team options on forward Ryan Dunn and center Khaman Maluach. Dunn's fourth-year option will guarantee his salary at $5,025,553, while Maluach's third-year option locks in a cap hit of $6,617,160. Dunn and Maluach were the only players on the Suns' roster facing rookie scale option decisions this fall.
Dunn has played 144 regular-season games with 60 starts across his first two NBA seasons, averaging 6.4 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, and will be eligible for a rookie scale extension next offseason. Maluach appeared in 46 games as a rookie in 2025/26 and is expected to see expanded playing time with Mark Williams sidelined due to a shoulder injury.
