Phoenix Suns center Oso Ighodaro confirmed that his representatives are in talks with the team regarding a potential contract extension. The third-year big man expressed a clear desire to remain with Phoenix. The Suns face a Monday deadline if they wish to structure an extension that replaces his $2.5 million team option for the 2027-28 season, with reports indicating a potential agreement would likely span three years.
Ighodaro appeared in all 82 games last season as the primary backup center, averaging 6.5 points and 5.1 rebounds. With starting center Mark Williams sidelined following shoulder surgery, Ighodaro has been competing with Khaman Maluach for a starting role.
