The Portland Trail Blazers are entering their first season under new head coach Micah Nori. It’s also a new era in Portland, with Deni Avdija and Ja Morant at the helm, with young players like Donovan Clingan, Shaedon Sharpe and Scoot…

Portland Trail Blazers head coach Micah Nori indicated that second-year center Yang Hansen will likely have a limited role in the team's regular rotation. Speaking after a team practice, Nori explained that Hansen may only see playing time in sporadic situations, such as when centers Donovan Clingan or Robert Williams III encounter foul trouble or specific matchup challenges.
The development poses a challenge for Hansen's progression after he averaged just seven minutes across 43 games in his rookie campaign. Team owner Tom Dundon previously noted in May that playing time would not be awarded based on international popularity or marketability, emphasizing that minutes must be earned on merit despite Hansen's productive summer performances.
