Key Things to Know

Jack Simone argues Portland Trail Blazers center Yang Hansen may be an afterthought in the team's rotation this season.
Head coach Micah Nori stated Yang could see occasional minutes if frontcourt players encounter foul trouble or specific matchups.
The Blazers' center depth includes Donovan Clingan, Robert Williams, Micah Potter, and Branden Carlsen ahead of Yang.

The Story in 60 Seconds

Jack Simone of Rip City Project writes that Portland Trail Blazers center Yang Hansen faces limited playing time ahead of his second NBA season. Head coach Micah Nori indicated that while the team is comfortable using Yang when opportunities arise, he sits behind established centers on a fully healthy roster.

Simone notes that Donovan Clingan and Robert Williams are positioned ahead of Yang in the rotation, alongside Micah Potter and Branden Carlsen. After spending much of his rookie season in the G League, Yang reportedly faces steep competition to secure regular minutes in Portland's crowded frontcourt.
