Before last night’s preseason game against the Golden State Warriors, Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard hadn’t played basketball in over one full year.
Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard made his return to the court in a preseason game against the Golden State Warriors after missing over a year due to a torn Achilles tendon. Lillard expressed that he felt like himself again and announced his intention to compete in the upcoming NBA Three-Point Contest, aiming for a record fourth title.
In his return, Lillard posted 15 points, one rebound, one assist, and two steals in 19 minutes of action. Fadeaway World notes that while Portland faces modest overall expectations this season, a healthy Lillard remains the team's key offensive catalyst alongside players like Ja Morant and Deni Avdija.
