The Portland Trail Blazers got sad news last night, as bench guard Vit Krejci fractured his lower leg in a game against the Phoenix Suns. Krejci was making his seventh appearance of the season, averaging just 10 minutes per game.…

Blazer's Edge writer Dave Deckard evaluates Vit Krejci's future with the Portland Trail Blazers after the bench guard suffered a fractured lower leg against the Phoenix Suns. Krejci had struggled to establish rhythm, averaging just 10 minutes across seven appearances this season and shooting 28.8% from three-point range in 26 games since being acquired from the Atlanta Hawks.
Deckard argues that Krejci's shooting drop stems from being miscast as a stationary catch-and-shoot player rather than an on-ball creator. Because Portland's guard rotation features Damian Lillard, Ja Morant, and Scoot Henderson, Deckard concludes Krejci would likely find greater career success on another roster.
