Dillon Brooks literally — and physically — went there.

Dillon Brooks and Damian Lillard engaged in a heated confrontation on Wednesday during the Portland Trail Blazers' 132-119 home victory over the Phoenix Suns. The incident occurred during the third quarter after Brooks stepped out of bounds and landed awkwardly, appearing to make contact with the lower part of Lillard's surgically repaired left Achilles. Lillard immediately confronted Brooks face-to-face before officials intervened to separate the players.
The confrontation touched a sensitive nerve for Lillard, who missed the entire 2025-26 season after tearing his left Achilles with the Milwaukee Bucks. Now back with Portland on a three-year contract, the 36-year-old guard scored 25 points to guide the Trail Blazers to a 6-1 start, while Brooks recorded 10 points and finished with a minus-29 rating in the Suns' loss.
