Kevin Garnett has never been shy about his loyalty to the Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics. Both franchises shaped his legacy, with Boston delivering the NBA championship he chased throughout his career. But when asked which team he would choose…
NBA Hall of Famer Kevin Garnett revealed during a livestream with N3ON that if he were ever to coach an NBA team, he would choose the Portland Trail Blazers over former teams Minnesota Timberwolves and Boston Celtics. Despite reiterating his affection for Minnesota and Boston, Garnett explained that Portland's specific roster construction and depth caught his attention.
Garnett stated he considers himself more of a teacher than a coach, lacking the patience for roster management. He highlighted Portland's choice to retain a deep guard rotation featuring Jrue Holiday and Scoot Henderson, arguing that strong guard play and small-ball lineups are crucial to competing against top Western Conference opponents like the Spurs and Thunder.
