The Story in 60 Seconds

A recent poll published by The Oregonian reveals that public support for the Portland Trail Blazers and owner Tom Dundon has dropped significantly. Conducted in late September by DHM Research among 600 registered voters, the survey focused on Dundon and proposed renovations to the Moda Center. Statewide, 64% of respondents stated that political efforts to keep the franchise in Portland were not important to them, compared to 32% who felt it was important.

Sentiments toward Dundon were particularly critical among respondents across the state. Only 7% statewide reported a favorable view of the owner, while 36% viewed him unfavorably and 57% were unsure. Within Portland city limits, Dundon's unfavorable rating rose to 59%, with just 5% viewing him favorably, while 55% of city residents felt keeping the team was not important.
