This offseason has seen the development and conclusion of several key storylines. From the contract negotiations of restricted free agents like Peyton Watson and Jalen Duren to the trades involving superstars like Giannis Antetokounmpo, this summer has been packed with…
Ben Simmons is expected to start for the Sacramento Kings in their season opener on October 21 against the Los Angeles Clippers, according to NBA insider Marc Spears. Simmons signed a non-guaranteed veteran minimum contract with Sacramento after missing an entire season away from basketball. He made a strong impression during his preseason debut, recording seven points and an assist in nine minutes of playing time.
With rookie Darius Acuff Jr. and Zach LaVine starting in the backcourt, Simmons is projected to feature in the frontcourt at power forward alongside Keegan Murray and Domantas Sabonis. Sacramento tested Simmons in point-forward positions during training camp, aiming to utilize his defensive versatility and secondary playmaking abilities to generate open scoring looks.
