While the Darius Acuff Jr. era of the Sacramento Kings is not off to a great start, Domantas Sabonis still shouldn't be swooping in like a vulture.

Writer Ian Goodwillie argues that Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis is incorrect to believe the team's offense should continue to run primarily through him. Following a difficult regular-season debut by rookie point guard Darius Acuff Jr., Sabonis publicly called for more ball movement and touches to make offensive reads. Goodwillie contends that Sabonis' comments were unsupportive of the rookie point guard.
Goodwillie further argues that running the Kings' offense through Sabonis has historically yielded limited success and caused defensive vulnerabilities. The author suggests that relying heavily on Sabonis conflicts with Sacramento's long-term future, especially with young centers Maxime Raynaud and Dylan Cardwell waiting for opportunities.
