While it's cool that Darius Acuff Jr. is already making history with the Sacramento Kings, it may not be the right kind of history.

Sacramento Kings rookie point guard Darius Acuff Jr. has set an NBA record by attempting 74 shots across his first three career games. He also became the first rookie to take 20 or more field goal attempts in each of his opening three contests, reaching the milestone during a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
A Royal Pain highlights that Acuff's high volume comes with efficiency concerns, noting he went 9-for-23 against Memphis. Writer Ian Goodwillie argues that while Acuff's aggression is positive for his development, he should improve shot quality, dial back three-point attempts, and expand his playmaking beyond scoring.
