Even though the Sacramento Kings caught another big loss in the preseason, there were some real positives in the effort.

Writer Ian Goodwillie highlights positive performances for the Sacramento Kings despite their 110-98 preseason loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. The defeat dropped Sacramento to 0-4 in preseason play, though the Kings played without most of their projected starters. Portland was led by Damian Lillard, Ja Morant, and Deni Avdija, who combined for nearly half of the Trail Blazers' points.
Goodwillie notes that Precious Achiuwa and Jonathan Mogbo both logged double-doubles, with Mogbo and Tristan Newton leading Sacramento with 15 points each. Rookies Emanuel Sharp and Alex Karaban also delivered strong contributions, helping Sacramento secure a 17-9 advantage on the offensive glass as seven Kings players reached double figures.
