While Luka Doncic is focused on success with the Lakers, he has taken on another responsibility. Earlier this year, the 27-year-old became co-founder of an Italian basketball team.
BC Roma, an Italian basketball club co-founded by Luka Doncic and Donnie Nelson, has signed 13-year NBA veteran Kelly Olynyk. The 35-year-old big man played for the San Antonio Spurs last season alongside Victor Wembanyama. Olynyk heads overseas to continue his playing career after potential NBA moves failed to materialize.
The signing caps a busy period for BC Roma, which also recently hired longtime Dallas Mavericks executive George Killebrew as president of global business operations. Olynyk brings veteran leadership to the debut franchise, having posted career NBA averages of 9.8 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
