Nick Young says Victor Wembanyama doesn’t want to dominate inside, but Nikola Jokic explained the night before why no big man should want to anymore.

Air Alamo's Jahlil Williams argues that Nikola Jokic's recent comments justify Victor Wembanyama avoiding constant low-post play, disputing criticism from former player Nick Young. Young claimed he was unimpressed by Wembanyama's 52-point game and labeled him soft for calling heavy post play exhausting. Williams responds that even the NBA's premier post players are moving away from the paint due to physical toll and refereeing.
Jokic noted that officials allow defenders much more contact inside, causing fatigue and reducing size advantages, which led him to cut his post-ups nearly in half. Williams also cites past remarks from Joel Embiid defending perimeter play, asserting that modern defenses and injury risks make demands for Wembanyama to bang down low outdated.
