Oklahoma City Thunder rookie center Aday Mara impressed in his preseason debut on Tuesday, sparking discussion about his matchup against Victor Wembanyama. The 7-foot-2 Spanish big man tallied 12 points, nine rebounds, three assists, and three blocks in 18 first-half minutes during OKC's 116-110 exhibition loss to the New Orleans Pelicans in Tulsa.
Drafted No. 12 overall out of Michigan, Mara was praised by Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault for his conditioning and physical progression.
