Jaylen Brown denied a report that he demanded a trade from the Boston Celtics or gave them a list of demands, according to a representative from Brown's team.

A representative for Jaylen Brown denied claims that the Philadelphia 76ers forward demanded a trade or gave demands to the Boston Celtics, calling the reports entirely untrue. The denial followed comments from analyst Brian Scalabrine, who claimed Brown requested a move and wanted to join the Milwaukee Bucks. The representative clarified that Brown only asked for input on his destination after Boston informed him he would be traded following a collapsed deal involving Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Scalabrine partially walked back his statements on Monday, admitting Brown did not technically demand a trade. Brown was dealt to Philadelphia during the offseason in a blockbuster package centered around Paul George and four draft picks. The situation also brought attention to Brown's relationship with former teammate Jayson Tatum, though both players stated publicly that there is no major conflict between them.
