Kawhi Leonard offered words of encouragement and support to former teammate Ben Simmons after learning of his season-ending injury. The Sacramento Kings confirmed that Simmons suffered a ruptured right Achilles tendon during practice, which will require surgery and rule him out for the entire season.
Simmons had signed a one-year, $3.5 million non-guaranteed deal with Sacramento to make his NBA comeback, which will reportedly be fully paid out. Leonard, who previously played alongside Simmons on the Los Angeles Clippers during the 2024-25 season, wished him strength and a successful recovery.
