Scrutiny continues to follow Kawhi Leonard.

Kawhi Leonard dismissed new investigative reporting by Pablo Torre regarding the LA Clippers' salary cap circumvention scandal during his Toronto Raptors media day availability. Torre revealed that Leonard's $1.9 million Boingo Wireless endorsement required only a one-hour photo-op at Camp Pendleton in 2022. Leonard stated that he does not follow Torre's reporting and reiterated that the NBA and players association already completed their investigation into the matter.
The NBA penalised the Clippers with a $30 million fine, stripped five first-round draft picks, and handed suspensions to owner Steve Ballmer, Gillian Zucker, and Lawrence Frank. Leonard was ordered to pay $700,000 in restitution, while his uncle, Dennis Robertson, received a five-year business ban from the league.
