The Washington Wizards made one of the most surprising moves ahead of last season's NBA trade deadline when they acquired All-Star center Anthony Davis.
Anthony Davis delivered a dominant performance in his Washington Wizards debut, leading the team to a 128-116 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. Davis played 34 minutes and led all scorers with 34 points, which tied the franchise record for the most points scored in a debut. He also recorded a game-high 12 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and one block.
Fellow veteran Trae Young supported the effort with a double-double, contributing 20 points and 13 assists. Young contributors Kyshawn George and Bilal Coulibaly added 18 points and 11 points respectively, while No. 2 overall draft pick AJ Dybantsa missed the game due to an ankle injury.
