Washington Wizards forward Bilal Coulibaly held contract extension talks with the franchise, but no agreement was reached, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line. The late-stage discussions indicate that Washington still views the former No. 7 overall pick as part of its future. Coulibaly is averaging 8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in the 2026-27 NBA season. Bullets Forever writer Albert Lee notes that Coulibaly's position overlaps with AJ Dybantsa's, suggesting Coulibaly may transition to a bench role due to his limited offensive production over recent seasons.
