The Washington Wizards have climbed to No. 16 in ESPN's latest NBA power rankings following a 4-3 start to the 2026-27 season. Bullets Forever writer Albert Lee notes that this middle-tier standing marks a significant improvement after the franchise spent much of the previous season entrenched in the league's bottom five.
The ranking features analysis from ESPN's Zach Kram highlighting strong contributions from top draft picks Anthony Davis and rookie AJ Dybantsa. Davis is currently averaging 23.0 points and 9.1 rebounds, while Dybantsa has averaged 19.0 points on 50% shooting over his first three NBA games.
