Washington Wizards rookie AJ Dybantsa, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 draft, is set to make his NBA debut against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Dybantsa missed Washington's first four games due to a sprained left ankle suffered on October 16. Wizards head coach Brian Keefe confirmed before the matchup that the 19-year-old forward will play under a minutes restriction.
Washington enters the game looking to rebound following a loss to the Charlotte Hornets, facing a challenging Cleveland frontcourt featuring Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. The Wizards will be shorthanded, with Tre Johnson ruled out after experiencing Achilles discomfort during warmups, joining Justin Champagnie, Tristan Vukcevic, and Jamir Watkins on the sidelines.
