Wizards’ Sarr Will Be Partial Participant In Camp, Remains On Track For Season

Washington Wizards big man Alex Sarr will be a partial participant when training camp begins next week, general manager Will Dawkins announced on Thursday. Sarr is recovering from June surgery to address a fractured right foot sustained during an offseason workout. Dawkins confirmed that the team expects Sarr to be fully ready for the regular season opener on October 21.

Selected second overall in the 2024 draft, Sarr appeared in 48 games during his previous campaign while battling multiple injuries, averaging 16.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.0 blocks. He will feature in a revamped frontcourt alongside newcomers Anthony Davis and Deandre Ayton as Washington aims to end a multi-year playoff drought.
