“You Never Know”: Trae Young Leaves Door Open for Hawks Return With Latest Message

Washington Wizards point guard Trae Young addressed the possibility of an eventual return to the Atlanta Hawks, remarking "you never know" on The Baller Alert Show. While keeping the door open for the distant future, Young emphasized that his immediate focus remains entirely committed to Washington following his trade departure in January 2026.

Young spent 7.5 seasons with the Hawks before being traded to Washington for CJ McCollum and Corey Kispert. On June 22, 2026, Young signed a four-year, $212 million extension with the Wizards, solidifying his long-term future in D.C. as Atlanta continues rebuilding around forward Jalen Johnson.
