Penix suffered an injury to his ribs in the final moments of regulation in the Falcons' Sunday Night Football loss to the Ravens.

Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. suffered a rib injury late in regulation during a Sunday Night Football overtime loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Penix attempted to warm up and return for overtime, but the pain worsened as Baltimore controlled a seven-minute opening drive, ultimately preventing him from re-entering the game.
Backup quarterback Tua Tagovailoa replaced Penix in overtime, throwing an interception two plays after Baltimore scored a touchdown. Penix is scheduled for further imaging on Monday, though he expressed confidence that the rib injury will not sideline him long term.
