The Ravens don’t expect Jurgens to make his Ravens debut Sunday. Roquan Smith, Kyle Hamilton excited for Atlanta homecoming. How Ravens are handling the league-wide surge in penalties.
Baltimore Ravens head coach Jesse Minter and offensive lineman Vega Ioane expressed excitement following the acquisition of center Cam Jurgens from the Philadelphia Eagles. Baltimore traded a 2028 second-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick to Philadelphia in exchange for Jurgens and a 2027 seventh-round pick. Minter noted that Jurgens is a high-caliber player who improves the team, while Ioane welcomed the trade as it allows him to eventually return to his natural position at right guard.
Jurgens is unlikely to debut this Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons due to being in the concussion protocol and needing time to learn the offense. Minter anticipates the two-time Pro Bowl center will likely be ready to play next week. Meanwhile, safety Kyle Hamilton highlighted the defense's need to reduce costly penalties as they prepare to face Atlanta.
