The Carolina Panthers are giving cornerback Jakorian Bennett a chance to regain his old form after some frustrating injuries.

The Carolina Panthers have signed cornerback Jakorian Bennett to their practice squad to address significant injury issues in their secondary. Bennett, a fourth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, was recently waived by the Philadelphia Eagles after injuries and limited playing time hampered his tenure there. Over his career, Bennett has recorded 65 tackles and 12 pass breakups across 35 games.
Writer Garrett Klaus argues that Bennett offers notable upside beyond basic depth despite his recent health troubles. Bennett missed time with pectoral and knee injuries over the past two seasons, but Klaus notes Carolina's mounting defensive back injuries—including Jaycee Horn and Mike Jackson Sr. on injured reserve—could give Bennett a pathway to meaningful snaps once healthy.
