The Carolina Panthers remain in first place in the NFC South coming out of Week 8 and recent changes made since Thursday night's loss will elevate the level of urgency for this team.

Kole Noble of A to Z Sports writes that the Carolina Panthers remain in first place in the NFC South despite a 3-4 record and two consecutive losses. Following a Thursday night defeat to the Green Bay Packers, head coach Dave Canales dismissed defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero and pass game coordinator Jonathan Cooley to spark urgency across the team.
Todd Wash takes over as interim defensive coordinator, while DeAngelo Hall has been hired to coach the depleted cornerback group. Noble notes that injuries and offensive line issues persist as the Panthers prepare to face the 6-2 Denver Broncos.
