For the second straight year, Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is accomplishing an important statistical goal he set before the season by a huge margin.

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams currently leads the NFL with a 72.5 completion percentage through three starts this season. After finishing 32nd in the league with a 58.1 completion percentage last year, Williams made accuracy a priority. In a 31-23 win over the Atlanta Falcons, he completed 30 of 36 passes for 305 yards and one touchdown, earning NFC Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Williams credited advice from Drew Brees, improved footwork, and trust in his receivers for his progression. Next Gen Stats reported that Williams went 24-of-24 from a clean pocket against Atlanta, setting an NFL record since at least 2018. The Bears now host the New England Patriots on Thursday night seeking to improve to 5-2.
