The Bears received an encouraging sign in their backfield just as Tampa Bay’s defense presents another demanding test for Chicago’s rushing attack.

Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai returned to practice on a limited basis on Friday after missing a month with a toe injury suffered on Oct. 4. Listed as questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, his potential return comes after lead back D'Andre Swift carried the ball 49 times over the previous two games.
Monangai accumulated 324 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 60 carries before the injury, with Chicago averaging 196.3 rushing yards when he played compared to 105.3 in his absence. Bears coach Ben Johnson noted that toe injuries are unpredictable, leaving Monangai's availability undecided ahead of Chicago's upcoming bye week.
