The Pro Football Hall of Fame announced that late Chicago Bears owner Virginia McCaskey is one of five finalists shortlisted in the contributor category for the Class of 2027. The Hall's Contributor Subcommittee narrowed the original list of 42 nominees to McCaskey, Ralph Hay, Robert Kraft, Doug Williams, and John Wooten.
The subcommittee is scheduled to meet virtually on November 17 to select a single contributor finalist to advance to the full Selection Committee. That nominee will join 13 players and one coach as finalists considered ahead of Super Bowl LXI, with enshrinees announced at NFL Honors in February.
