The Cincinnati Bengals are highly unlikely to trade backup quarterback Joe Flacco despite recent league-wide quarterback injuries, according to Kelsey Conway of the Cincinnati Enquirer. Flacco recently dismissed false reports linking him to the New York Giants following a season-ending knee injury to rookie starter Jaxson Dart.
Cincinnati acquired Flacco from the Cleveland Browns last season to cover for an injured Joe Burrow before re-signing him in March on a one-year, $6 million deal. The Bengals value the 41-year-old veteran as reliable insurance given Burrow's past injury history and their ambitions to break a three-year playoff drought.
