Denver Broncos All-Pro cornerback Pat Surtain II injured his right ankle and missed the second half of the team's 24-14 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in Santa Clara, Calif.
Denver Broncos All-Pro cornerback Pat Surtain II suffered a right ankle injury during the team's 24-14 defeat against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Surtain sustained the non-contact injury away from the play late in the second quarter and did not play in the second half. He was helped off the field after grabbing his ankle and was replaced by Jahdae Barron.
Denver also suffered additional setbacks, losing starting cornerback Riley Moss to a rib injury and reserve wide receiver Pat Bryant to an ankle issue. Head coach Sean Payton offered no postgame injury updates on the affected players.
