DJ Wonnum makes his return to Carolina this Sunday night, looking to play a role in a primetime road win for the Detroit Lions in a win over the Panthers.
Detroit Lions linebacker DJ Wonnum is set to face his former team, the Carolina Panthers, in a Sunday night primetime matchup. Wonnum joined Detroit during the offseason on a one-year, $6 million free-agent deal following two seasons with Carolina. After returning to practice on Thursday following a back injury, Wonnum looks to build upon his recent two-sack performance against the New York Jets.
The Lions are aiming to strengthen their defensive showing against quarterback Bryce Young and the Panthers. Carolina enters the contest after a Week 3 loss to the Cleveland Browns, while Detroit looks to stay competitive in the NFC North division race.
