Detroit Lions safety Kerby Joseph won’t play this week, as he continues to ramp up from a knee injury that cost him over a year of football activities. But as he continues to get more work in and get close…

Detroit Lions safety Kerby Joseph looked "better than anticipated" in his first full team practice, according to safeties coach Jim O’Neill. Joseph will not play this week as he continues his ramp-up from a knee injury that sidelined him for over a year. The Lions recently opened his 21-day practice evaluation window to ease him back into live action.
O'Neill praised Joseph's dedication through a long physical and mental recovery, while also highlighting the support from the medical staff and teammates Dominic Lovett and Jackson Meeks. The coach noted that getting Joseph back will grant Detroit increased defensive versatility with fellow defensive back Brian Branch.
