Chicago Bears defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons received high praise from head coach Ben Johnson and teammates after making an immediate impact in his Week 8 debut against the Seattle Seahawks. Simmons tallied six tackles and a sack, leading a disruptive four-man pass rush. Meanwhile, Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell and quarterback Jared Goff lauded running back Sione Vaki for stepping up as an effective complementary rusher to Jahmyr Gibbs.
In Green Bay, head coach Matt LaFleur expressed confidence in rookie kicker Trey Smack despite multiple missed kicks this season, while offensive lineman Sean Rhyan is expected to avoid injured reserve. Additionally, Packers defensive end Micah Parsons conceded that his current conditioning will limit his snap counts as he gradually works his way back into form.
