The Philadelphia Eagles are signing quarterback Joe Milton off the Dallas Cowboys practice squad, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz. The roster move comes after starter Jalen Hurts suffered a health setback involving a superficial blood clot in his calf. Milton joins quarterbacks Tanner McKee and rookie Cole Payton on the Eagles active roster ahead of their Week 6 game against the Carolina Panthers.
Milton, a 2024 sixth-round pick by the New England Patriots, was traded to Dallas in April 2025. After appearing in four games for the Cowboys in 2025, Milton spent the first five weeks of the 2026 season on Dallas' practice squad before being acquired by Philadelphia.
