Burns is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair both injuries Wednesday at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.

New York Giants outside linebacker Brian Burns tore the lateral meniscus in his right knee in addition to tearing his ACL, according to sources. The 28-year-old sustained the injury in the fourth quarter of Sunday's 12-7 victory over the Tennessee Titans at MetLife Stadium. Burns is scheduled to undergo surgery to address both issues at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.
Head coach John Harbaugh had previously confirmed the torn ACL, with additional meniscus damage reported later. The standard recovery timeline for both injuries is typically 9 to 12 months. Burns previously led the NFC with 16.5 sacks during the prior season, earning both Pro Bowl and All-Pro honors.
