Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Monday he still has no word from the NFL on when running back Josh Jacobs might come off the commissioner’s exempt list or whether the league will suspend him further.
Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed on Monday that the team still has no word from the NFL regarding running back Josh Jacobs' status on the commissioner's exempt list. Jacobs has missed the first five games of the season following a personal conduct policy review linked to a May incident where he pleaded no contest to two misdemeanors.
Green Bay's rushing offense currently ranks last in the league at around 60 yards per game without Jacobs, leaving MarShawn Lloyd and Kaleb Johnson to carry the workload. Any time Jacobs spends on the exempt list is expected to count toward a potential league suspension as the Packers prepare for Week 6 against Dallas.
